Who I am why I do what I do? I am a visual
artist. I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I have been doing art for 39
years. Visual art for me in essence is "capturing the heart of a visual
experience either realistic or abstract in whatever medium that conveys the
message of my time. I have travelled extensively throughout Canada,
the U.S.A., the Carribean, Europe and Africa.
I have been working with Photography for 37 years and digital photography for
5 years. My goal in photography is to try to create an image of a pre-machine
time in the history of the world. A time devoid of machines and wires that is
quickly disappearing.
The abstract image has been an obsession for me for 33 years. I have been
creating abstract digital images for the past 12 years. As someone might
concentrate on a "Sudoku puzzle", I approach a blank computer screen as a puzzle
to be solved and try to make a visual image that is thought provoking and
mentally digestible like "eye candy" for the viewer. Simply it must be
similar to an optical illusion; except the image must last.
I am currently on Sabbatical working full time on visual art.
